EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS

 Make a plan today. Your family may not be together if a disaster strikes, so it is important to know which types of disasters could affect your area. Know how you’ll contact one another and reconnect if separated. Establish a family meeting place that’s familiar and easy to find.

Want to be a 'H.E.R.O.'?

We are looking for community heroes! 

The Lewis County Health Department is proud to announce an upcoming paid training program as part of our Health Emergency Response Optimization Project or HERO for short. 

Ten people will be selected to participate in a group training program on pandemic response and the role of Local Health Departments (LHD) during health emergencies. 


Participants will be paid $20 per hour. Training will consist of 20 hours per week for two weeks for a total of $800 for training completion.
